• “11:11”

    “Nooooo!” Time: 3:00.

tab I woke up and my eyes saw mustard yellow lights. It was all confusing me and I didn’t know what happened. I closed my eyes and opened them up, everything was blurry, it’s as if my own eyes don’t want me to see anything. I waited until the cloud subsided and I saw the most horrifying thing. I smelt it too. It was a carcass, a rotten one, with a bunch of flies flying and gorging over it. Time: 8:30.
tab I moved closer to take off the blood red sheet. It was a face that I recognized with all those features. There was a tag in his neck that says, “124”. I gasped and realized one thing the man was my brother. Time: 8:35. I was furious, there was a bomb inside me waiting to explode. Now I only demanded one explanation, who killed my brother. I gathered all my strength and got up. I scouted around and felt that I was in a confined space, a room maybe. I searched for the door trying to find a way out of this mayhem. I reached the wall and the bitter cold metal touched me. I walk beside it treating it as an acquaintance. Finally, I reached my friend, the door. I touched the knob and the coldness felt like a million bees stinging my palm. I opened the door and cold air rushed in. I went outside and a digital marquee met me with its blood red numbers blinking, “372 and 124”. A rush of nostalgia came to me, I felt that I’ve been to this place but just can’t remember. I started walking but the journey seems to be endless. All I hear is a monotonous click. All I smell is the imagined smell of rotten carcasses. All I feel is the cold air that lingers around me waiting for a moment to strike if I’m off guard. All I see is a vast emptiness that befalls in front of me. Everything seems to be off what they usually are. Suddenly, like a viper attacking a mouse, I heard a moan. It could’ve come from a man or an animal, I can’t tell. I followed the sound and I saw another marquee, again with blood red numbers, blinking, “89 and 216”. Behind it there was a room. I was in front of the door and my body was fighting me. My mind insists to go to see all the wonders that lie behind but my body doesn’t want to. I decided to wait outside hoping for nothing. This time, cold air rushed out as the door opened. A man with a white lab coat came out. Time: 10:00.
tab “You have risen have not you?” the man said, “come, come we need you to be rejuvenated, you must be rather exhausted”. He had an air of sophistication surrounding him, helping him improve each sentence that he say. He led me to a room where the technology is abundant. Little chips mock me with their infinite intelligence within those little bodies. I walked around fascinated knowing that one of these agile contraptions can help me find who killed my brother. Time: 10:30.
tab “Hey”, I shouted, “where’s the bathroom in here?” The man with the white coat pointed to a room where everything is as white as pearl. I went inside the pearl-white room and the warmth met me with grateful looks. I found a mirror and looked at myself. I was pale from the coldness and my eyes were ebony black with bags under them, dried up blood was sitting near my nose. As I follow the trails of cracks downward I saw the yellow papers that was shoved inside my mouth. However, I saw the most peculiar object in my neck. A tag that says,” Johnny: 372”. I get it now, I remember some part of it, my name is Johnny. Time: 10:45.
tab I went in the shower hoping to calm myself but to no avail. As the individual drops of cold and hot water pour into my face then to my body I contemplate that the only thing I knew is my name. I’m still frustrated and confused, like a child lost in an amusement park. I took the monkey hanging on the wall and dried myself. It was soft and very comfortable but it still can’t relieve the negative atmosphere surrounding me. I got out the bathroom and realized that I took a shower for 15 minutes when I glanced at a silver clock and saw, “11:00”. I shouted trying to find the doctor; I decided to call him that with his utterly white coat. I couldn’t find him so I looked around and I saw a chrome-colored door ajar. Time: 11:03. I opened the door and I got in in a room that was full of televisions but there was an eerie screen that was translucent. Time: 11:05. I opened one of the televisions by clicking one of its colorful buttons but it didn’t start. I sat down on a black chair thinking what would happen to me. I fell into light nap and woke up when a little draft touched me. I look at a clock and saw, “11:10”. A minute passed and I stood up and screamed, “ I wish I knew who killed my brother!”. One of the televisions opened and I saw a tape. It was horrifying. I remembered everything. This was a laboratory for testing. I was a patient and somehow I won. I killed my brother. I survived. I was the better kind. I was happy that I survive. I was furious because it was me who did it. All this time. It was me. I look at the eerie screen. I saw a figure. Someone pushing the button. It was the doctor. Time 11:11. eek eek eek
