• Chapter 2: Meeting Scarlett

How long had it been now? It felt like hours since the train journey began. During those hours my mind raced back and forth. The whole time I had been thinking about the others and yet I was still thinking about the journey. I didn't have a clue as to what might happen. Who I was going to meet? Where I was going? What would happen once I get there? Many of these thoughts played around inside my head and while I thought about them, I also thought about what the others were up to? I could only of guessed that Samantha was crying away in her room or something? I hate having to image those tears that came from her eyes. Those awful tears I never ever wanted to see.

All of a sudden the train came to a closing halt, which meant that we've were already here. Well I that was, no one else was on the train. At least last time I checked no one was on it, unless this train was hunted?

Eventually and what seemed like forever, I decided to get off the train. There was really no point in saying on anyway. Not unless I was going somewhere else. Which I doubted very much. Once I was outside I noticed the empty state of the platform, well not so empty. There were people here, a lot more then back at the platform in Chico Village. So many people around I didn't know where to begin? Where was I meant to go anyway? Or in my case, where on earth did I need to go? However while I thought about this, something suddenly happened. Something I didn't expect.

A huge explosion...yes explosion came from the large clock tower that over shadowed the platform. At first I thought ''What the hell was that?'' But I didn't have much time to think about that right now, because at the moment something unexpected happened. Among the clear smoke and dust, two people stood there. Two people who looked completely out of place compared to the other people around here. ''Who are they?'' I thought, wondering whether they were the two that had caused the huge explosion?

''EVERYONE HERE HAS FIVE SECOND'S TO LEAVE THIS PLACE.'' One of them called out. He was the only male among the two. The male looked around my age, but seemed slightly taller compared to me. His eye's looked icily blue that would of brought chills down anyone's spine. Over his right arm was a cape that hung loosely sideways. As for this clothing, they were a mix of blue and white. It looked as if this guy had came out of the bleeding circus. Wasn't he cold in those clothes?

The tall woman standing next to him seemed no different. She however wasn't wearing a cape, but her arms were bare. The dress she wore had no sleeves, but the colour of it looked earthy. It looked as if; she had been rolling around among a pile of leaves. These people, whoever they were sure did look weird. Right now I felt like shouting. ''Did the circus suddenly come to town?'' But I decided to keep my mouth shut, because the would have been the wise thing to do.

''GET OUT OF THE WAY YOU FOOL.'' Someone shouted out, as I turned quickly to see who it was. Running directly towards me was a girl, around my age. At first I wondered why she had told me to get of the way? Until I suddenly noticed that the ceiling was about to collapse on top of me. ''......'' I was particularly speechless, standing there like an idiot waiting to be crushed. All of a sudden, I was pushed out of the way falling against the floor. As for the pile of falling rubble, it landed a few inches away from me. But the girl, she was nowhere to be seen? ''Hey are you alright?'' I asked, hoping that she was trapped among that entire rubble. ''I..I'm fine, don't worry about me.'' The girl quickly replied back, while I noticed how she seemed to of moved the rubble aside, as if it didn't weigh a tone at all. ''What the....? How the did you survive that?'' I asked surprised, but she didn't seem to of answered. Instead she was more focused on the other two people, who hadn't made a single move yet. Well at least I thought they hadn't. ''You must have a very good reason for showing your face around here?'' I heard the girl say, not at all pleased to see these two people here. ''Now come on don't be like that Scarlett, we only came here to have a little fun.'' The guy mentioned, who seemed to of grinned like the Cheshire cat.

''Scarlett is her name?'' I thought, turning to face the girl standing next to me. Her name was Scarlett? It sure sounded like a weird name, maybe not half as weird as Chico though. ''Fun? You call hurting innocent people and trying to destroy this place fun?'' Scarlett asked them, a sound of angrier or sudden hatred in her voice. I could tell she was mad; she seemed to be showing it after all. ''Who cares about innocent people? Once Master Hiku finds his Gem, victory shall be hours.'' The boy laughed, although Scarlett didn't seem to pleased by this. However throughout the time that they were here, the woman hadn't spoken until now. ''Gerald is there really any point telling these worthless fools about Master Hiku plan?'' She asked him, paying no such attention to Scarlett and me. ''Well not of course not, but Master Hiku would be pleased if we've were to kill Scarlett right? As for the other one, he would be an added bonus.'' Gerald announced, once again laughing away like he was on some sort of crazy laughing gas.

Hearing what Gerald said almost made my heart leaped. What did he mean by added bonus? Was he going to kill me to? I sure didn't feel like dying any time soon. Be size, getting killed by a bunch of psychotic maniac's wasn't something I intended. ''Hey, I suggest you get out of here. Before you get yourself killed.'' Scarlett whispered to me. I knew what she said seemed like a good idea, but wouldn't she of gotten herself killed also? ''Wait, what about you?'' I asked, wondering whether she was going to leave also. ''Like I said before, don't worry about me. Get out of here and save yourself.'' She told me, I didn't know whether she was just trying to act stubborn, or trying to act all tough? But I knew she seemed determine in beating these two.

Doing just as Scarlett told me to though; I quickly got up onto my feet running straight for the exit. ''As if I let you escape?'' I heard the woman say, whose name had not been mentioned yet. Underneath me the ground began to shake, where the floor suddenly split into two. Before I had a chance to fall into the huge gape below, Scarlett had quickly stood in front of me blocking the woman's next attack with a pillar made of stone. ''D...Did she just?'' I thought surprised. Who ever heard of someone forming a pillar from underneath the ground? ''I thought I told you to run?'' Scarlett asked, staring directly at the two people in front of us. ''I...I was going to, but the exit is blocked off.'' I relied, noticing that there was no way I could leap over that huge gape. ''Okay...well just stay here and don't get in the way.'' She said, until Gerald went to attack. I noticed from the palm of his hand, Ice shards began to form. ''What the...Ice shards?'' I said completely and utterly surprised. What was it with these people and crazy powers? However the Ice shards directly came towards us, but before they even had a chance to hit, Scarlett once again blocked them with another pillar. ''Okay care to explain, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?'' I called out scared and horrified by what I was seeing. ''I explain later, right now isn't the time.'' Scarlet told me, quickly blocking another one of Gerald's attacks. ''Come on Scarlett, why don't you fight back? Are you afraid that I would beat you? Gerald asked laughing; until he was quickly thrown off his feet. ''Who said anything about being afraid?'' Scarlett asked him, as like before she created another huge pillar to form and crush him. However before she could fully defeat Gerald and the one one, we've both noticed that the place was about to collapse and fall right on top of us.

''Come on this place is going to collapse, if we don't leave now.'' Scarlett added, although I already knew that seeing as bits of the ceiling were falling down. Quickly we've both made our way out towards the exit. ''Hey since when did I say you two could leave?'' Gerald asked, until be also noticed that the place was going to collapse. ''Dam it, why now?'' He said, until the woman spoke to him. ''Let's leave this place Gerald, there is always a chance that we will see them again.'' She said, heading towards a different direction along with Gerald.

Back outside both I and Scarlett were sitting there; glad to finally be out of that place. ''Are you alright there?'' Scarlett asked; while I gave her the thumbs up reassuring her that I was fine. ''Look like it's going to take a while rebuilding this place again.'' Scarlett added looking towards the piles of rubble and cement everywhere. ''We've better get going, there's a small village not far from here that I plan to go to.'' She said, helping me onto my feet.

Taking one last glance at the now collapsed building, I remembered back to that fight and how Scarlett and the other two had those weird powers. I wondered where they had gotten them from? But right now wasn't the time to ask. Instead I followed Scarlett, towards the next village.
