• She wasn't going to back down from this one without a fight.
“Give up sweetheart. You know you can't beat me,” he said with a smirk. She looked around her then noticed the mirror behind him. If she could just lift her arm in the right angle...
The blade glanced off the wall and sliced his arm just like she intended it to. It was her turn to smirk.
“No darling,” she said looking over him as he dropped the bag in his hand, “You can't beat me,” she said and knocked him out.
Lia picked up the pouch and smiled. It was time to pay a visit to one of her old friends.
“Thanks again dearest. I hope to see you soon,” she said noticing that he was coming to. He wouldn't follow her and she knew it. She jumped out of the hole in the wall and landed safely on her feet then disappeared into the forest.
“Who was that Marcus?” asked Gilleonan appearing next to him.
“That, Gill old friend, was the Black Raven,” he said with a sigh. He got up holding his still bleeding arm.
“Well, shouldn't we go after her? She has the king's most prized possession. She's wanted for so many crimes...”
“No. She's gotten stronger. We should prepare the army if we are going to go after her,” he said rather sombrely. Gill crossed his arms and watched his friend admire the rogue's work.
“I get the feeling you have a history with her,” he said with a little bit of a smirk. Marcus sighed, fingered the scar on his chest, the one that was a little too close to his neck, and turned to Gill with a tired smile.
“So, who is she, an affair gone wrong? A scorned mistress?”
“I wish it was that simple Gill,” he said and looked out of the hole she had just disappeared through, “Lia is my wife.”
