• The rain was lightly falling to the ground. I continued to drag my feet across the sticky terrain. Cars passed me multiple times; always shining their headlights where i stood. There was a faint light coming from the moon.
My blue jeep was completely trashed. The rain had made it nearly impossible for driving. Well, at least that's what Alex had said before I left, but because I am so stubborn, I didn't listen. And now I am walking away from a crash that would have killed a human.
A few cars had stopped to give me a ride, but each time they did i turned them down.
I continued to let my thoughts wander; most of them leading me to Alex. Some of the memories made my heart ache. the rain had stopped. i cocked my head up to the sky, but to my disappointment, the sky was completely clouded over with a thick layer of fog.
"Well," a failiar voice whispered, "would you like a ride?"
I got in without a word. The faint light coming from the radio made it easy to read his face.
"Are you giving me the silent treatment? Or are you going to say something before I go mad?" it was clear he was upset. I remained silent though. "Sam, please, just say something. I can't take the silence anymore." He was pleading now."Please."
The ride soon ended in front of the house. Alex shifted in his seat, and started playing with the strands of hair that fell from my wet tangle of a bun.
I was trying to read his face, but he kept it well composed. His eyes were searching my face as well, probably looking for an answer.
I tried to feel what my fave must've felt like to him. I felt nothing.
In a matter of seconds, he was kissing me. He gently cradled my jaw in his hands. I could feel eagerness in his lips. His hot breath carassed my own, joining forces once again.
I slightly pushed away, trying to catch my breath. But instead of placing my lips back to his, I rested my chin on his shoulder.
It was then that my eyes caught a glimpse of a body. I could feel myself stiffen.
"Sam, are you okay? What's wrong?" he pulled me away from his body, trying to read my face. i couldnt find my lips to speak. "Sam, what's going on?"
"He is behind the house," my voice cracked.
    "Who?"
I loosened his grip around my waist and climbed out of the car. It took me a while to adjust my eyes to the even darker sky. The clouds were thicker now. Almost casting an aura of evil.
"Sam, what are you doing?" I could here his door slam behind me. "It's dark out!'
I quickened my pace, hoping to find that same shadowy figure.
Alex caught up to me as soon as I had rounded the corner. He grabbed my waist and pulled me towards him. His lips were soon at my ear. "Now tell me, what exactly did you see?"
"Im not sure exactly," I hesitated, "it looked like a person was watching is. I just wanted to know who it was.
"I'll protect you. i promise I wont let anything hurt you." He kissed the top of my head. 'Come on, let's go inside."
I couldnt argue with that. My clothes were soaking wet and I was pretty tired.
Alex dipped down and picked me up in his arms. His body shook ever so slightly as he laughed. "Let's get you out of these wet clothes."
