Tick tock, tick tock, that’s all I heard as I wandered down the halls of an unknown house. Tick tock, it was like something from a bad movie. I couldn’t remember how I got there and the hallway seemed to go on forever with no doors, as if leading me straight to Hell. The floor boards creaked under the weight of my feet.
Tick tock, tick tock, there it was again that same damn clock! The floors creaked louder and louder; was something following me? I stopped to look around… nothing. I go to take another step when the floor caved in! Dust flew all around me and pain shot up my leg as the bone snapped. I cried out in pain as I saw my own blood.
Tick Tock, Tick Tock! It was the clock again! I looked around using the pain from my leg to keep me awake. When there in front of me was a clock with roman numerals and covered in cobwebs. It was shrouded with a scarlet drape and the glass was completely shattered.
Tick tock, the ticking began to slow. Tick… tock… tick. It suddenly stopped as the room lit up with an eerie glow. I stepped back in fear, sweating like a madman, when I stepped on something. It was too firm to be a pillow, too soft to be furniture. I turned to see what I stepped on and shrieked. It was a corpse with multiple stab wounds. I shuddered and turned to leave.
Tick… Tock! It was the clock, again! But how, I saw it stop! Suddenly something cold and clammy grabbed my leg. I jumped in fear as I turned back around to see the corpse was gone. Creak, creak! Something was coming, I could hear the floor. Creak, creak! It was getting closer and with my bad leg I couldn’t get very far.
Tick tock, tick tock! The clock started to tick faster and faster as I ignored my pain and started to run. There was a door right in front of me. I was excited, finally a way out of that creepy place! I opened the door ready to go home when I felt a sharp pain; something warm began to run down my back. It was blood, my blood!
Tick tock, tick tock the clock was all I could hear. I closed my eyes and preyed to wake up hoping it was a dream. When I opened them there was another corpse in front of me! It was covered in stab wounds. I turned around and there it was, the corpse from the other room holding a bloody dagger.
Tick… tock, the clock stopped again. That’s where I am now staring at the second corpse and it’s, it’s… Oh GOD! It can’t be, It can’t! This corpse, it’s… me. Wait! Hold on, I hear something. Tick tock, tick tock! The clock? Now that I think about it… this all started when I heard that clock. Tick tock, tick… Tock!
