- Must…hurry… The sounds of angered shouting and yelling thundered throughout the dark forest like an uncontrollable fire. “Get the beast!” “Hurry before it gets away!” “Disgusting beast.” “Kill it!” I growled in hatred as I increased my speed. I was trying to save you people! I’m not the beast! Although when I rushed by the river, my reflection was a horrible sight. My dress was tattered and my face was smeared with dirt and blood while my hair was tangled and wild like Medusa’s snakes. “I can’t believe this happened again! I was so careful!” I whimpered to myself as I continued to race down river. Making a sharp turn, I reached onto the cliff that suspended over livid waters of the ocean. “There it is!” “Get it!!” I turn around and trembled as the outraged crowd came into view around me. They were waving torches and other torturous items at me as someone threw a stone at me. “Someone stabbed it with the sword!” A familiar voice screeched loudly as the crowd roared in agreement. I yelped in surprise when ropes flew and strapped me onto the ground. At first I tried to fight my way free but then gave up with a sigh. It seemed like it was useless to fight against the crowd. I’m sorry, Tsukiko. I failed you again. I look up at the sound of my executioner’s footsteps and my whole body went cold. “You! How could you do this to me!?”I roared out angrily as I feel my body starting to shake violently. He cocked his head to the side with a evil smirk on his face. “What you talking about? The only thing I know about is that you are an ugly beast that needs to disappear.” He chuckled humorlessly as he slid out the silver sword out of it carrier. The metal gleamed even in the dark night and then I knew right then that I really have lost this time. “I’m going to find you in my life and make you pay for this. I’m going to haunt your dreams until we met again,” I taunted in a heavy voice as I spat as his feet, “I’m going to make you regret you ever did this.” His face remained in the same cocky smirk as he raised the sword right over my neck. “Who says that I don’t already regret it?” He whispered in a sad tone as he makes a sharp plunge into my neck. The whole world shuts off.
