• "Awaken. Awaken and face your true self...." A voice called out. "Awaken, Trent Revlin," the voice repeated.
"How...do you know my name? Who are you?" Trent asked.
"Open your eyes, and face the truth." The voice answered.
Trent opened his eyes. The scene before him was unsettling. Darkness surrounded him to the point where he could only see a few feet in front of his face. Not only that, but it was raining. The part that bothered him the most was the fact that all of this was familiar.
"Yes, this should be familiar to you, Trent. After all, it was the day you cast me aside, and I became a single entity, growing in strength, lying in wait for this moment. I will bring you back to your dark self, and we will become one again." The voice seemed to be talking from the area right in front of Trent.
"What makes you think you'll do such a thing? Why don't I just destroy you right here and now?" Trent was unsure why he felt like saying that, he didn't exactly know what this guy, whoever he was, was talking about. All of a sudden, a surge of energy went through Trent, and he found that he was heading toward the sound of the voice, his sword drawn, in an attempt to attack. The feeling was short-lived. As the blade reached it's target, it turned out that the attack didn't connect. Figures. I can't see in this blasted darkness... Trent thought.
The voice chuckled. "We will meet again, other half." With that, a blinding bright light flashed.
