• I looked up, the sky was a bright shade of blue. I sat up and walked away from the tree that I was sitting next to. "Bright," I whispered as I walked home. As I entered my house, I looked around. "Dark," I muttered before I walked into my room. Time passed, and soon my mum shouted for me down stairs. I slowly walked down, half of me was scared, another part was glad that I could see her. As soon as my feet touched the floor, she began shouting. I knew my face was emotionless, a world escaped from my mouth, "loud," as soon as I said that word, a loud sound was heard. "Don't you dare say anything while I am talking!" She yelled as she slapped me. I held my cheek. Soon I was sent back to my room.

I sat on my bed, my face was in my pillow, I couldn't help it, I cried, I cried out loud. "Why?" I muttered as I looked at the ceiling. Pictures, memories flooded my head, all those times, those smiles... Where they all fake? I asked as I felt my tears roll down my cheeks. "Father..." I whispered as I looked to my side to see a picture, a picture of him. I couldn't help but to smile.

I was sleeping, dreaming of everything that made me smile, but I was awoke by someone holding me, someone that was crying. I opened my eyes, shocked, "mother?" I asked as she held me tight, "I am sorry, sorry, sorry," she whispered as she kissed me, held me. A warm embrace I thought I lost. "Please..." She whispered. I felt that I knew what she was talking about. "I know... It's okay," I whispered as we both held each other that night.

The nest day, the sky was bright again, I wore a black top and a black skirt. In one hand, I held some flowers, while my mum was holding a necklace, a charm. Both of us walked over to the graveyard, a place that we hate, yet we love. Because everyone we love that has disappeared from this world, is still there, I know it. We walked until we stopped at a grave stone. 'James Wilson. A proud father, a kind man, a great friend and a caring husband.' I sat the flowers down while my mum sat down the necklace. "Father, I have been a good girl, dispute all those times, but even though all of that, I still miss you. I wish you were there, when it was my tenth birthday, it was so much fun," I said, I felt water fall from my eyes, "I miss you!" I cried, the emotions that were swirling inside, I just couldn't control it. "Darling... I hope you are doing well, I have been taking care of our daughter, we still have our house. Nothing has changed, not even my love for you..." Said my mum as she tried to smile, I held her hand.

Both, me and my mum walked away. The sun was still shining brightly, I couldn't help but to smile. But when I looked back to my father's grave, I thought I saw him. Smiling, his brown hair just like before, he eyes still sparkling. I thought I heard him say, "I love you, you and your mother, tell her that please." But when I looked back, he disappeared, but deep in my heart, I knew it wasn't my imagination. "Anna! Come over here quickly!" I heard my mother say as I whispered, "I love you," to my father. "Are you okay?" She asked as I nodded my head. "Dad says that he loves us," I said as my mother froze up. I saw a smile on her face, a true smile. "I know..." She said.

From that day on, it felt different somehow. Both, me and my mum knew that it was only us left. The house was a more happier place, and I am glad. But I still wish that my father was still here, holding me, telling me that I did something that made him proud.

I sat on my bed, I looked up to the ceiling, and that night, the dream I had was magical. My dream was that I had all of my family with me. Smiling.
