• His long fangs bit into my skin; the darkened red liquid pushed out between his teeth and down my throat. He held his hand over my mouth so no scream could alarm anyone of my struggle. The pressure lifted from neck with a gasp followed quickly after.

I could only see his pale arm around me, and his dark clothing that draped around us on the cold ground. The red fabric looked rich with detailed stitching in many shades of gold. I watched as my blood dripped from my neck onto his black pants.

"Now my darling, once you have been drained I will make you my vampire bride." His accent was European; deep an full of darkness.

I shook my head in his arm that still griped my head tightly. A tear slipped through my eye lids as I thought to myself: "this was real". A seventeen year old girl, enslaved to a very real vampire. Why did this have to be the way I died? Why now, when I haven't even lived my life yet.

The vampire's lips touched my ear as soft words were spoken, "If only you knew how long I have been searching for you my sweet, Valeria." My eyes widened to the name; I am not who he thinks I am. "How I missed your long black curls, and sparkling green eyes. Your fair skin that reminded me of my human days living in the woods. Oh my darling."

His hand lifted from my mouth. I took a deep breath in as it was much needed in my lungs. All those details of my looks were totally me, but the name wasn't anything familiar. "My ... My name is ... is Lauren. I am not your ... your Valeria. I'm sorry." The words left my mouth with hesitation.

"Once I turn you, you will remember." He ran his long finger nails through my hair, rubbing against my scalp. "It will all be clear very soon." Then, the sharp teeth were back in my neck an this time I was able to release a small cry for help; but that did no good as it got me no where, then I saw the darkness approach.
