• Stepping outside, the cold wind tousling my amber curls, I locked the front door to my home. After double checking to make sure it was secure, I began my tread to school. As i walked down the sidewalk path, the leaves, persuaded by the moist wind, danced about my feet. Pulling my jacket tighter around my body, i shivered and hurried along. My ears picked up the scream of a rusty swing, blown back and forth by the gentle gusts. Shuddering, i kept walking, then i looked up to the cloudy sky to see a raven, perched on a light post, his beady black eyes fixed on me. Opening his beak, he let out a Kaw, kaw, kaw... I looked away, the Kaw continued, along with the screeching sound of the old swing...as I reached the alleyway i pass through every morning, the noise became quiet, except for the soft wind, blowing around me.
