• Hmm... I've been thinking... a lot.

    Love isn't simple.

That's my conclusion I came to.

Now, I know, I know, it's obvious. It sounds useless just like a bunch of scientists coming up with a theory "Most accidents happen at home", or a underwear with pockets.
My lover and I had this discussion once. Of course, she laughed when I said "Love ain't simple". Eiter she was laughing at my cheesy southern accent or the reason why I said that. I assume it was both.

Any how, I asked her... "Love... isn't simple, you know? I've asked countless people what do they think of 'love', and all they say is-"
She covers my mouth and said; "I don't care what other people think about love, what I care about is what YOU think love is".

Then there was that akward silence moment.
... I looked around the room for no reason... Stared at her for a second like a pup... and I gave the "Iunno..." shrug.
She looked at me a bit unpleasant.... still covering my mouth... and then glared at me. "... And all this time, you started going out with me even though you don't know what LOVE is?" She was biting her lips in a bit of nervousness. For some reason, I found that cute.

She moved her hand off of my mouth and she said "Are you serious? You really don't know what Love-"

Haha... You would want to know what happened to the rest of that sentence, now wouldn't you? Let's just say... I gave her the "Shut up and kiss me" thing.
And then I told her "I didn't say 'I don't know what love is'. What I meant was that... Am I able to express my feelings for you in words? Heh, I don't think so."
Then we had a pleasant time together.

I don't know what most people would think, but I met this one guy in a shop and I decided to ask him; "How would you explain love?" and all he said, with a piece of squid in his mouth, was that "Love... is when ya care about yer partner... alot." I looked at him, "... ALOT... huh?" He shook his head with a piece of tentacle flying out of his mouth. "Okay. Thanks. Bye. Enjoy your... Cthulu..." and I left the shop.

Okay... I gave you some examples... I'm sure there are ways to express love with words, perferably with poetry or songs. But, (this is my belief, ladies and gentlemen) I think... it takes more effort to show love than just saying "I love you" five billion times on the phone. You have to SHOW your love... (you know, writing a sweet love letter, showing them the magic, etc.). Prove them that you have strong feelings towards them, and let them know you'd Sacrafice whatever you have for them... not just words. That... I believe is the best way to show love. And you know, my lover agrees. :]
