• .....The day me and my uncle went to clean the church....-(4 weeks ago) - ...Lightning unleashed from heavy clouds, starting to merge over the light, unfinished sky, that I normally like to look at. Luckily, I brought my rain coat, I always have one just incase. We started from the car headed to the church door. While my uncle was searching for the right key, I looked back up at the clouds, it was worse than before. Now, rain was pounding at the ground and the hood of my rain coat, I could see it pouring and dripping from the edge of my hood. While I was concentrating at the sky, I heard the sound of a "click", it was my uncle. He had found the key to open the church door. I didn’t look back at the sky; I went ahead and stepped quietly in side the church building instead. "I'm going to go sweep the Fellowship Hall"(the kitchen)... I told my uncle. He turned to me and nodded. My uncle went to pick up the trash out of the Sunday school rooms, like he normally does. I flicked on the light in the cold hallway; I was surprised to see it work, because usually, you have to flip it 9 times before it would come on. I pushed the door and turned on the four kitchen lights. It felt empty in the large room, like "no life” was there. I felt the breeze on my cheek from the crack in the door to my left, It leads back to outside. I walked to go get the worn out, dusty wooden broom. The only sound I heard was the "clonk" of my footsteps and the throbbing thunder against the church and the trees, until I heard a "crashing" and falling noise from the room I was headed to. There was silence when I reached the room. I looked over to the ice machine; it usually makes a thrashing noise I thought to my self. I ignored the noise and got back to my cleaning. When every thing was done, and my uncle finished collecting trash, we agreed to play a game of hide and seek. (After all he’s one of the best players around...) I never hide, I always wanted to seek. "1...2...3...- ready or not...here I come....” We played a few times and I eventually found him...until the "last game". I called his name, but there was no answer. "Marco!” nothing...I didn't even hear Polo. I started feeling scared after awhile of searching, because I usually find him by now, and there wasn’t a place that I have already…looked....unless..."He was in the attic!". I felt nervous and lonely for a moment. I rushed to the attic, and slowly opened the nail scratching door. Suddenly, I heard bumping up the stairs, like something knew I was coming. "Ha" I mumbled under my breath (still nervous). I quickly, but steadily went up the steps one by one. So I wouldn't be afraid I counted the steps, it had twelve. I reached the shadowy top, and then walked to the open room keeping close to the wall. As I got a chance to look in the darkest place in the building....."STISHHHHHHHHH!" *BUMP" The T.V. came on in the attic room with the channel with static! I gasped, and literally jumped down the twelve steps. “I’ll get you for this uncle!" I screamed. As I ran a few steps from the attic door..."Fump" I looked up to see that I had bumped into my uncle standing with shock and confusion (almost the expression I held). "What are u doing?!" he said. "I..I.I thought we were playing hide and seek..." I said. "Oh!” I forgot to tell you, on the last game, I needed to go put gas in the car first. I’m sorry, did I worry you?" To frighten to answer, I turned my shaking head back to the attic door, my eyes got wide...."That means...you weren’t in the attic...."
