Urban baptism on the sidewalk covering,
from the pedestal rests the rhythmical rapturing.
Persistent, the man in tuxedo-scan;
swinging to the trees in the wind
on an old man's jazzy binge
to the city skylines' graceful span.
To the balconies are beautiful archways;
a dancer's flow underneath heaven's days,
immersed with pillow clouds of mid afternoon
sings the mellow bird's melodies,
bathed in the glow of crowded harmonies
to the groovy movie reel's moon.
Rainbow lines cater car-lights
made snake-charmed by household plights.
Box-people walk to-and-fro
while the saucy schoolin' bad lad
in a snazzy-suit entr'acte strad
struts in Blanca scene style; past city lows.
Beating his soul to the downtown's flow,
dancing to the ancient urban undertow,
makes alive the sweet air, tranquil
were his steps to the nightly flair
while neon-angels lit everywhere
to keep this cool cat's mind still.
