A fresh start, to a new travesty.
The manipulations of a nation,
And the lies, broadcast station to station.
A million screaming violins,
A thousand voices pouring in,
A requiem for the damned.
A pregnant teen cries,
She’s drowning in the tears.
X-rays from your eyes.
You see right through the fears,
In the distance, the only hope in sight,
A baby born in the cold moonlight.
An ocean of emotion, fears, and tears.
They drown in their innocence.
And thus, I step down, and my gun slides across the floor.
