• Late at night,
    Trying to sleep.
    Tonight I live my fright,
And I try not to weep.

It's too cold in this room,
Too dark in this small place.
    I long for you warmth,
And the light from your face.

Close my eyes so I don't see the dark,
Cover up as I try to sleep.
    My heart starts pumping,
So bad I can feel the pulse way down in my feet.

    My mind begins to stir,
As my stomach starts to flip.
I swear I can feel your touch,
    And still taste your lips.

    Soon my body shuts down,
    As I lay to rest.
The same as any other night,
As my endurance is put to the test.
