Every day
i seem to change.
The light starts to fade away.
I think of my past, so bright,
but know darkness is enclosing.
Everything and everyone i love and ever did
always seems to quickly drift away in the end.

This is a good length for a poem; I don't know why people think that a piece has to be 40 lines long to be decent. Jeez.

Also, I don't totally get 'how you really feel', because all I know is that darkness is enclosing, and that your childhood was filled with bright lights and reflective surfaces. Elaborate.

Here's a line that used to really help me out when I was writing (though it's definitely on the cheesy and uber-simple side of things :3 ): Show, don't tell.
