The Fallen Nightmare

• Description: A poem on the fall of Lucifer this is the opening to a story I'm writing about a man named Lucious who is Lucifer's human form. I have the original on paper and if I find this floating on the internet anywhere but here I will sue. I worked on this for weeks to get it perfect so enjoy.

A horrid dream
That resonates in my mind
Like a forgotten memory
Buried in time

This reoccurring nightmare
Why does it come
Why does it haunt me
What have I done

The dream it scares me
As the bloodshed begins
With an angel of God
Killing on a whim

A sea of blood
With corpses everywhere
But the angel keeps killing
He doesn’t even care

The Seraphim cry
And the Cherubim weep
Their best and brightest angel
Is now too mad to keep

He was driven insane
By ambition and Pride
His bonds with Heaven
Now forever untied

The wings of the angels
That died by his blade
Turn to light
The mad angel is chained

With a flash of light
The angel is gone
He’s back in heaven
But not for too long

Soon the clouds part
As the angel falls through
His wings burn off
His halo is gone too

He screams in pain
As he falls from the skies
Headed towards Earth
Where he started his lies

Disgusted and ashamed
Towards what he’s become
Earth splits open
Hell beckons him to come

Chains that were forged
From the evil and damned
Bind him in Hell
As Satan’s left hand

He begs the heavens
For one last try
To late no response
Too many have died

He sits in Hell
Bound to a stone
His name is Lucifer
Hell is his home

That’s when I wake
Sweating like rain
I felt every part
I could feel his pain

Is he asking for help
Does he want to be free

Why come to me
