• I had met her on an ordinary day,
In that ordinary town, in my ordinary way.
She was far from ordinary, a smile on her face,
She waved at me, and I fell head-over-heals, falling in disgrace.

Her laugh had ecoed in my ears,
I smiled at her from ear to ear.
She said her name was Haylee May,
The most beautiful name I will ever say.

She gave me her number, we talked many times,
On the phone, I could hear, her voice was soft like chimes.
The chimes of an angel, I had told myself,
An angel was I, she told herself.

I grew to love her, more than life,
And soon, she became my lovely, caring wife.
We cared and soon shared names for the baby,
And came up with one special, Rachel Sherry.

One night, I was late at the office,
When my beautiful Haylee called from the home office.
"Please come home soon." she whispered softly,
"I'll be home, don't worry." I replied warily.

I drove home that night, and noticed a differance,
The windows were broken, a loud shot from the distance.
A man lept out the window, running, shoating with fun,
And my eyes widened with horror, for he had a gun.

I ran in the home, searching for my love
And found her, eyes opened, her spirit lifted to the above.

That horrible night, I lost two loves
But the one I miss most, Haylee May waiting above.
