Dreaming While I Wake
It's 3 AM,
and I'm drifting,
staring at a luminous screen,
I'm wondering,
what am I doing and why am I here,
it's times like these when my future isn't clear,
that place between when you're asleep and awake,
time that you see yourself so hard to take,
sleepless now it all falls apart,
how in the world did I get this far,
now I dream,
I am who I want to be,
that I am free,
life's no longer a mystery,
I'm a hero on the big screen,
romantic hopelessly,
I'm a soldier, pioneer,
I have no pain, no fear,
No nightmares, no tears,
I wake,
I am so alone,
I realize,
I am dreaming while I wake.

- I think you should change the last line to something smoother and look up some other words to replace some of the "Wakes" like "aware" or "Concious". But not bad.
