• Soft, tinkling bells
    Gently chiming, quietly ringing,
Followed by the voice of the flute,
    Light and airy,
    Fluttering, as does
    A butterfly's wings,
    Sitting, waiting,
Then with strong and swift strokes, it
    Takes flight.
    Golden piano,
    Jumping keys
    Full of life;
    The dance of a grasshopper.
    Trumpets blare,
    Loud and happy, and
    A child laughs.
    Drums beat a lively tune
as two hearts beat, full of love.
    Then all dwindles
To hazy lays and lazy tones.
    Spring has come and gone.
