• Description: For one of our writing exercises i wrote a poem i got from looking at a picture. it's a long story. check my journal for more info. written from an immigrants point of view who just landed on Ellis island and is now, for a few months, basically an orphan out on his own is a new location. no where near my best work but eh.

Here I am
at the destination
one long trip said to be tough
but I made it alive
I haven't got money or care
but I made it
as long as I can live I might find it
my destined life
be it greatness or be it not
it is said that I will find it here.
