• A holy place of prayer,
Lighting candles for our loved ones.
    Kneeling before His Son, Jesus,
    Asking to share his light.
    Sunlight playing with the colors
    Of the stained glass windows
Wooden statues of Holy men and women
    Watching over us
    In this chapel.

    A holy place of prayer,
Lighting candles for our loved ones.
    Kneeling before Mother Mary
    Asking for her grace
A sweet smelling aroma leaking from the flowers,
Swirling and mixing with the smell of the flames,
Bits of dust tickle my nose,
The smell of old paper twirling with it
    In this chapel.

    A holy place of prayer
Lighting candles for our loved ones.
    Kneeling before God himself,
    Asking for his forgiveness
The wind blows gently, rustling the trees outside.
Our shoulders feel as if a weight has been lifted.
God has pardoned us for our sins,
    Cleansing us,
    In this chapel.
