• Journal portruding my lap
    Memories ceasing to exist
    Only through my eyes
    My tale can be recalled
Indistinct with its soft spoken words

Poetic injustice pulling at my hair
    In this straightjacket feeling
    Vulnerability becomes my nemesis
Halting advances on my fractured body

Refraining to inform my abused brain
    The shields have fallen
    As I cower inside
    Trembling to the ground
    Weaknesses etched into my skin

    Eyes become blurred
    Opinions become misjudged
While hate influences the best of us
    Succumbed with clouded eyes
    Gone are the important things
    While locked in peripheral vision

I followed the footsteps through my journal
    Reminiscing the time
    Once in stasis, now alive
    Back to the beginning
Continuing to find, mere thoughts, no ending
