The sun falls to its knees,
Night is the time for the sun
To reflect on what it see from earth.
The time when it checks its scraped knees
And after cleaning away the dirt stains bandages
Them, and prepares for a night full of waiting since the
Sun never sleeps because it's true purpose is to illuminate its
Master the moon, who said it has seen so much more than the sun
Could ever hope to know even though the Sun can see the world all day.
The sun has seen the pyramids and serviced their sun gods and has made itself
Useful by casting shadows for the Romans and their tools, it has wondered as men
Shot themselves- into space to reach the moon and been saddened at the pain it puts
Upon the small creatures wandering the earth. But the moon reminds the sun, as the sun
Kneels in pain and subservant will that
Pyramids crumble
People die
And that every night the sun falls down, and the moon smiles a toothy white grin.
