• Lying on the ground, we watch the stars
Unaware of how sad they are
Then I wonder why God lets us stay
When we kill one another everyday

Far away, on the other side
Lives a world where people die
Created by lies, guns, and hate
It leaves me in a sickly state

I wonder if I could one day show
The world their fate, or perhaps they know
Do you think they'll one day begin to see
That they're singing to a toxic melody?

As the wind blows through the trees
I close my eyes to a cool night breeze
And as the world struggles to survive
I wonder why I'm still alive

I look at you as you watch the moon
And wonder if you're worried too
Do you think that we'd get the chance
To save the world from its deadly trance?

And as the clouds consume the sky
I keep myself from wanting to cry
I lay down and begin to dream
Of what one day the world could be
