• Dawn of War

It is the dawn of another war it the place where the streets have no name.

    The guns shoot.
    They extinguish lives.
    The people come.
    Refugees.
    In their thousands.
    The crackle of gunfire continues.
    More people come.
Desperately hoping to get away from home.
For it is the dawn of another war,
in the place where the streets have no name.

I wanted to have short sentances to try and show peoples lives are short in Africa that's where connection is. This is a poem about the Sudan conflict. Poems and songs need passion and that what I felt needed writing about.
