Images of the last time I saw your face fill my thoughts and haunt my dreams.

My heart fills with love and saddness at the memories of happier times, with you so near.

Every time I think I have finally escaped, I turn a corner only to find you still there after all.

We can't seem to find a way to be together, yet memories will not let us remain apart.

I like this, actually. I love it that it didn't rhyme, (I happen to dislike rhyming poetry) and I do like the idea. Perhaps some elaboration, though? A bit more depth would make it completely amazing.
