We Are The Brave

• Description: A girl in my 7th period class just loss her mother to lung cancer yesterday morning. I felt so overcome with emotion because last spring i loss a member of my family,to whom i was close with, and she also died from the same disease. i decided to write this poem as a tribute to the girl. I really wanted to let her know i cared and understood what she was going through , and how she wasn't alone. i hope you like it.

We are the brave

We hold our heads up high and smile
All the while we hope no one sees us
We are the brave
We laugh and brag of all the wonderful experiences we ever had
All the while we hope no one can hear us
We are the ones who put up the fight
And the same ones who cry at night
We are the ones who are mad at the world
When deep inside we blame ourselves
We are the ones who fear
And are the ones who cry silent tears
Hoping that no one will know
And hoping that we won’t tell
We are the archangels
We brighten the days for others
But are afraid of the darkness
But we are not alone
You are not alone
Despite the darkness
We hold the light, together.
We are the brave
And we stand together
In full confidence that despite everything
We will carry on

tell that girl i know how she fells. my dad died of a heart attack, and shortly after my mother followed him. she had breast cancer.
