• I am a raven with broken wings.
I cannot fly, I cannot sing.
    I watch humanity go by,
Never letting them see me cry.
    Life to me means nothing,
My soul a dark, silent something.
    The fires enchant me.
    The cages entrap me.
No matter how much I beat my wings,
I cannot fly, I cannot sing.
My broken wings begin to heal,
The bones to mend, the flesh to feel.
How I long to fly once more,
Away from land, away from shore.
Yet still I'm trapped here on the earth,
And I know life has no worth.
My dark blue eyes, filled with regrets,
    Hold so many unspoken secrets.
But of them I will never tell
To anyone in this living hell.
I cannot fly, I cannot sing.
I am a raven with broken wings.
