• Amazing grace… how sweet the sound
    That saved a wretch like me…
    I once was lost, but now I am found,
    Was blind, but now I can see…
    Those who believe will be saved
    But those who don’t will go straight to hell…
    Oh, amazing grace…
    How sweet the sound that he sang to us…
    ” The darkness hummed,
    As he crouched alone in the dark while
    Waiting for Death to come and gouge out his eyes;
    His sleep began to slowly crawl
    While engraving its nails unto his back
    Like if it were its prey, like if it were a crazy hound,
    As it whispered “Sing a song, sing a song,
    But this time, won’t you sing a lullaby?”
    He didn’t give in to the words that slowly contaminated his heart,
    And gave him such an immense pain by thinking
    Of having no hopes, of having just about nothing at all
    But the gloomy and creepy feeling of wanting to die,
    Of wanting to become blind; stop seeing the dark;
    Wanting Death to end the lonesome days,
    To end the life of a creature-like soul.

    He began to weep; he began to sing
    The song that pitied a demon like him
    Amazing grace…how sweet the sound
    That makes my ears go numb
    From all the barren hope of getting out from the dark
    But will a shadow be able to live in the light?
