• You are the calm bestowed upon my storm
    Such an essence,
    sooths me.
    Relaxation,
    Embraces me.
    Understanding,
    Eludes me.

    A calming voice,
    A cooling touch,
    Your silent whisper.

    But as the Rain,
    You belong to the sky.

    I,
    Here,
    Can only wait,
    No,
    WANT for you.
Until you fall upon my this earth that I call mine.

But how can such soil compare to that of the sky?!
    Misery,
    Scars,
    And hurt.
    These things that bare deep,
Cause such wounds upon my flesh.

    When the sky. . .
    OH HATE UPON THE SKY!
    It bares freedom and beauty,
    No bonds,
    Free of restraints.

    Here upon my earth,
    You are;
    Puddled,
    Spoiled,
    and stepped on.

Merely a wary warning to stay inside.

    Your touch,
    Your beauty,
    Your love,
And your voice all belong to the sky.

    Only am I granted,
    No,
    privileged!
To look up upon you from this cold ground that is mine.

    My Rain,
    Rest until you fall.
I shall wait till you return.

    In your presence,
    Jealousy,
    Hate,
    Sorrow,
    All slowly,
    Comfortably slip away.
I am bared away from the burdens of this body.

    Selfishly,
I will take you in and enter my happiness,
    Long overdue relief of life,
    Shall wash away.

It is because if you rain,
That I can slip away from daily restraints,
    Allow myself to wonder.

Even if it may be brief,
With you is when I am able to face whatever awaits me.

    So,
    Until you return,
No until the time the sky takes you away from me!

    Rain and I.

    Oh Earth,
    Beautiful,
    Young,
    Caring,
    Earth.
    It is true.

    Compared to the sky,
    You are small,
To the sky you are bound,
To the sky you are nothing.

But why then must I fall?

As you, the sky bares me as its scars.
    The blemish in the sky,
Merely the Rain it WILL shed.

    But I will catch you

To this is why I CAN fall,
And gladly I will do it for you.

    For you are my comfort,
The essence that tends to me,
    cares for me,
    loves me.

Until my broken wings have mended and my spirit take flight.

    Yet in truth,
    You are the being,
    that betters without me.

    For it is ME!
As this rain that taints your flesh,
That bares these scars that cause you such hurt.

The Rain that better suits to be at your feet,
    Rather than at your side!

    But I love you

    And I you.

    More than any love,
    Any sky,
    Or anyone!
    Could ever match.

It is YOU that holds me high,
It is YOU that make me want to fall.
It is you that I love.

When I am at your Earth,
    I am home.

At your feet I can only hope for the welcome I don’t deserve.

Yet to leave you for my place below the sky,
And you wait in yours that is lower.

    You shall wait,
I shall rest until that time,
    I fall for you.

    Earth and I.
