• Blind to our actions for power and greed,
Never fighting for what we truly need.
    Questioning morals along with ideals,
Thousands die for riches we steal.

Passing the devastated and ignoring the lost,
Only an outcome of the war we fought.
All for the glory in which they drown,
Soldiers laugh as civilians are bound.

    Tearing freedom and adding restraint,
Only for honor that seems so faint.
Dragging the helpless when times are tough,
Yet no one seems to think its enough.

Maybe society will cast its hands,
Relieving the suffering that always stands.
Everyone in pain has faced a curse,
What has been done can't be reversed.

Day in and day out another dead,
Only for selfish thoughts within our heads.
Whatever hope left seems so far,
Only the result of another war.
