• Sonnet Dedicated to the Fair Youth

Expressed to me on that ambrosial day
we crossed the line we never crossed against,
our feelings overwrought we did betray,
our bodies’ crossing o’er the sea commenced.

The blinding darkness clouding up my mind
    concealing my emotions, hiding truth—
the truth was reaffirmed when we entwined—
extinguished by the luster of his youth.

It can arrest my soul and mind; subdue
my heart, for when I feel him I erupt.
The flare revealed my eyes to life anew.
The love partaken cannot be corrupt.

A Joy unchaste abounds in thoughts divine.
His love shall be for none, for none but mine.
