Responce to My Highness's Dog

• Description: A response Poem I wrote to Alexander Pope's poem "Engraved on the Collar of a Dog Which I Gave to His Royal Highness." It's a short little epigram, goes like this:
  
  I am my Highness's dog at Kew,
  Pray tell me, sir, who's dog are you?
  
  The poem's name is almost longer than the poem itself. I wrote this as a fun little answer to that question.

I am the dog of my honorable father
I am the servant of my kind loving mother
I am a slave to the sky and the sea
I am a part of the land of the free
I am a son of the omnipotent Master
I am a daughter of pain and disaster
I am the vessel of a heathen Lord
I am the creator of a make-believe world
I will one day my own master be
And then I will own a dog just like thee.
