• I hear a sharp wiz,
while the center of my chest is gone.
I wonder how I got in this biz,
and what kind of coarse I'm on.

around every corner is a splicer,
who wants to steal my crud.
They always bring out a slicer,
they thirst for what's in my blood.

    The precious and powerful Adam,
    caged inside an innocent girl.
and just when you think you had 'em,
their big daddy kills you for breaking a rule.

First I picked up a wrench,
with it, I became a thief.
This city is as cramped as a trench,
I must pump my blood full of eve.

I can smite a splicer with a bolt,
    coming straight from my hand.
It gives the b*****d quite a jolt,
So I kill them where they stand.

I then picked up a revolver,
to kill the homicidal citizens of Rapture.
That girl, I never meant to involve her,
I must give up the Adam to capture.

    I always listen to Atlas,
for he is my only guide.
I've only seen him through a glass,
he wants me to go deeper inside.

There is an evil man, Ryan,
    A man living in sin.
He has the whole city cryen',
about all the deep s**t that they're in.

    That's when I picked up a Tommy,
I unloaded ammo by the drum.
Pain never makes me cry out to my mommy,
I just ignore it and continue to hum.

    I use that exploding buck,
it can light one up with a shot.
    To hide I always duck,
but it never helps a lot.

    There is a psycho doctor,
    who has no patience alive.
He doesn't stay behind a locked door,
so his bodies flow like a hive.

I pick up a new plasmid or two,
I pile up splicers by the load.
I thought I knew what to do,
but that lie would soon cur road.

    I've fought so hard,
    I've done so much.
I tried to be Rapture's guard,
    to do good and such.

I wanted to kill the corrupt leader,
and have the splicers drop their knives.
I wanted to be the innocent's defender,
and save some little sister's lives.

    I have gotten so far,
    I have broken the lie.
    I don't remember ever seeing a star,
    but now, here I die.

    I tried to save her,
    that one little girl.
But after a few things did occur,
her big daddy gave me a twirl.

Now I am impaled on a drill,
my life was a song well sung.
    But after this brief thrill,
on this drill, my corps is hung.
