• Bird of Paradise
    Swooping gently,
    Gliding softly on winds unknown,
    Alights upon familiar branches
    In distant lands.
    No human ears eavesdrop upon
    The soothing melody
    Sprung from deep within
    Those tiny lungs.
    No words dare describe
The wise sounds of years gone,
Unable to reach into the current
    Of ancient memories.
Ever does the gay bird sing,
    Sending scattered thoughts dancing out
    Into this foriegn island's
    Leafy vegetation....
To drift sleepily amongst the trees
Until there is someone to listen.
No thought is for this heartfelt song -
    This is simply how
    It was supposed .
    Hark! Hear this lonely angel's
    Soft flapping of wings.
    Forgotten perch mourns it's loss
    As quiet figure wings away.
    This island seems too still.
    Bird of Peace
    Flies quickly,
Soars swiftly on winds glad to hear her voice.
