• A thin layer of snow covered the ground.
    The lone flower stilled bloomed.
It stands alone between the sky and the snow.
Small flakes fall on the pedals.
A pale small hand reaches out to grip the stem.
The flower shivers almost a flinch.
The hand gently stroked the pedals.
    Brushing off the snow.
Then a second hand reaches out.
Not as pale as the first not as small.
It took the smaller hand away.
    Leading the hand away.
    The flower drooped,
    A sign of utter loneliness.
    A second hand almost identical,
    to the first appears.
    It strokes the pedals,
bringing the flower up and straight.
The larger hand let go and watched,
    as the flower perked up.
The flower drooped when the hands left
    snow fell again.
