And all for naught

We live for so long
Until we get caught

You read my mind
Fed me all your lies

I've been much too kind
Now just watch me rise

Heaven Whispers in my ear
and hell just holds on tighter

You are who I fear
I can't fight this fire

Now comes the rain
It will wash away

All my horrid pain
and get me through today

You were all I had left
My heart beats no more

Now go ahead, burn the rest
I'll walk away beaten and sore

rhyme is usually to muhc with a poem but it was used skillfuly in this case, the flow was steady, which is hard, for me at least.
