• They riddled together
    Then they were torn apart
    One got killed
    The other, she got smart
    She lied down
    On her back
And saw the stars staring back
But the sky had lost its sheen
    The stars their gleam
    As she now realized
Life is shorter than it seems

    A new love she knew
And she knew about him so much
but still she craved to feel his lips
    His gentler touch
    She longed to gaze into
    Those deep blue eyes
    Her heart was still torn
    After his demise

Soon she grew old and gray
And as her body withered away
Her husband had left her years ago
    Childless and nowhere to go
A home was where she was sent
And the rest of her days
    She spent
    In a rocking chair
    Eyes half-closed
    A never ending stare

And as she passed into death
Her lover's eyes she soon met
He embraced her with a kiss
    And she said to he
"Did you wait there just for me?"
    He nodded yes
    And they smiled and kissed

    Lovers always win
    Whether romantic
    or Friends
    Lives intertwined
As they ought not to be
    But a love
    You'll always be
