• I AIN’T BEEN USED

the sun came out as I worked the fields that day
and a smile hit me smack on the mouth and never left
happiness covered my heart in azure light
as security shrouded my fears with a brilliant glow
and where ever my love went you came not to ever wait
and learned to trust then trod with steps quite deft
almost unheard as through the halls of my life
your spirit walked but not to haunt me though...
few men have been as blessed as I am now
but fewer still would do as I now want to
for though I am old and you quite young somehow
we met and in a thunder clap I knew
what men of all time have known when such connections fused...
please! make use of me! with what I get back I ain’t been used.
