• Hanging by a thread
    I'm standing on the edge.
    Wondering if I am dead.
    There's a brother without a mother.
    There's a sister without a farther.
There's a grandmother with two grandsons
threatening to put a bullet in each other' s heads.
There's a young mother clinging to her child who's dead.
Poor child didn't stand a chance.
    There's a solider with a gun.
    Shotgun c**k back.
    His wounds open wide.
    Bam, he's gone.

    Hanging by a thread
There's a gambler in debt, slipping on his bet.
    His cheeks are soaking wet.
Unsatisfied greed he has just met.
There's a kid standing by the bay.
    Showing his father's marks.
Anger that has just been sparked.
There's a girl with no rights.
    She hovers from great heights.
    Out go her lights.

    Hanging by a thread
I look down to see it's not the fall,
    it's the ground I fear.
    I let go anyway.
Now many would say it's death
that waits on the other end.
    But what if it's not.

    Hanging by a thread
And by letting go and standing up again,
    I found a better life.
And not just for my self.
