    Sounding faster with each step
    As does a fear drenched heart
    A lion chasing a lamb in heated pursuit
    A touch of ice against a flaming soul
    Crash
    A flash of gleaming white sabers contrasting coal black eyes
    Liquid rubies for a deadly halo about her head
    A frozen graze against a heated cheek
    A delicate caress against unwilling flesh
    A gentle scraping of a blade on fragile parchment
    Drawing a line of crimson in its wake
    Waterways of red run cold in fear
    An explosion of fire through life-giving veins
    Piercing screams followed only by silence
    The Lion drawing back, watching his prey
    Coaxing new life to return
    Stone grey eyes open slowly
    Peering with new found clarity
    The internal drum slows her beat
    The lamb's eyes take in the lion's face
    A calm washes through her and a smile fills her face
    A pair of matching sabers exposed in the cool moon light
    "Hello, my Lion," the lips speak
