• The day the Last Elemental died-
The moon shone full from above and cried,
    The acid rain pollution brings…
The kinds of things that throttle Spring.

The day the last Elemental died,
I watched the Birds scream across the sky.
    As the day fell out,
And landed in the depths of night.

The night the last elemental died,
All the world watched, both far and wide.
    Until all at once-it fell-
As all we heard was a distant bell.

The night the last elemental died-
It left this world with a painful sigh.
    Then all that was left,
    It left to us.

That night the last elemental died,
    Wasn’t the end.
It left us a gift you see.
It left us this world, for you and for me.
So that in it’s passing, it Passed to us,
    Something only it could give.

So now I’m giving it to you,
    The gift of Humility.
    So all may know,
    And know again,
Just what was done for Humanity.

You see, when that elemental died,
    It began the world anew.
