• A chilly storm blows ahead of us.
We walk on, hoping to find what they call, home.
    We were bare footed.
    No shoes
    No coats
    No food
    No water
    Only a soul,
with enough determination to carry on

What felt like days were hours.
    We were hungry
    Thirsty.
    Lost.

    Finally, it came.
Blasts of cold wind burst out of nowhere
Devouring us in it's long, frosty body.
I knew the future just as it came,
" We aren't going to make it."

In only a matter of seconds, the cold had weakened all of us
The fire that was our determination was easily blown away.
    It was unbearable.
Everything was just a big blur.
"Was this the end of me?"
"Do I have to end this way?"

    The cold was indescribable
It was like needles slashing, hacking, and piercing through our skin
Our skin, the only protection, had gone out as well.
    The cold wasn't done though.
It went right through our body,
    Weakening our senses
    Our hope
    and most importantly, our soul

" Just end it now!" I tried to say.
But all that came out was a slight choke
Tears were coming out of my eyes
    They formed rivers and lakes
but quickly froze at the cold's feet

I couldn't take it any more.
" Just end it now!!" I screamed
But it was all in my head.

    Then, a savior came.
    Next thing I knew,
It was all warm around me.

My eyes slowly opened and I saw faces in front of me
    Smiling, cheerful faces.
I managed to get a nice small grin out,
To show that I was happy, too

The warmness of the room filled inside of me
    awakening all of my senses.
    People, friends, they all helped.
Everything was finally where I wanted it to be.
    Finally, I was home.
