• I awake from my dream
to a knock on my bedroom door.
I get up out of bed.
My feet touch the cold floor.

    I travel across my bedroom.
And reach for the door handle.
    And I open the door,
Then my thoughts are all scrambled.

    There is nothing there.
    Only darkness within.
    A world of emptiness.
    Surely full of sin.

    Something compels me
    To take a step inside.
    I give into the feeling
    Giving up hope and pride.

As I walk further in darkness
I see a mirror up ahead.
I walk up to the crystal slate
And what I see strikes me dead.

It's something that I've known of
    But always tried to hide.
    Something I've tried hard
    To bury deep inside.

    Lying to myself
I said "This is not real".
A Voice from the darkness laughed
And my bones turned to steel.

I ran back to the door
    And reached for the knob.
    It wouldn't budge.
    The Evil's done his job.

    I suddenly started to fall.
The air rushed at my face.
    My world started to reappear.
My bed, blankets, and pillow case.

    It was all a dream.
    But was it really?
I can still hear the laugh.
    It was so bone chilling!
