• If I ever thought it was perfect, it must have been damn near there

And if I ever thought it was love, it must have been infatuation intensified and multiplied by infinity

If I ever thought it was pleasure, it must have been pain presented at the first suppressed by the mental capacity of your mind; and your persona and your intellect and your presence

And if I ever thought for one second that it was going to be forever, it must have been time rushed and flushed before me while I drifted away in a sea of your authenticity

If I ever thought that anything between us was beauty and captivating, it must have been words unheard but spoken with the heart, the mind and the soul

If I ever thought that everything between us was pure bliss, it must have been the fundamentals of an untainted, wholesome happiness

If I ever thought it was going to be simple, it must have been the complexity of a state of being one, wrapped up into one sweet, tender, undeniable display of affection

If I ever thought it was going to be slow and steady, it must have been the fast pace of my heart beat whenever I was around you that led me to think otherwise but it was your gaze that assured me that I could be at ease

If I ever thought that it was going to be cold without you, it must have been a warm memory of you that re-ignited a flame within me

If I ever thought that I would forget how your cheek curled when you smiled, I would let my eyes paint a picture that imprinted you in my memory

I would outline your face with my fingers in order to etch a sketch of you in my mind to make it last forever

You are imperfectly perfect and completely incomplete but all of that means nothing to me

If I ever thought it was surreal, then that's what it must have been

But it was just as real to me... just like the rest of them... heart
