• She sits on the moon
In the middle of the night
    The maiden is aglow
    With the crescent's light
    When the clouds come in
    Things begin to change
    There's a big decrease
    In visibility range
    The sun begins to rise
    Up over the horizon
And on it sits a man
It's her he's got his eyes on
He shines light through the clouds
    She turns away, she's blinded
    He rises up much higher
    Hoping she won't mind it
    He illuminates her soul
    Looking deep inside it
    And continues on
    Knowing she can't fight it
    Feeling so exposed
She decides to take a leap
    But it is her innocence
He knows she wants to keep
She lands safely in his arms
Not where she wants to be
But she has a fragile heart
And he does hold the key
He wipes away the tears she's shed
    And leans in suddenly
He whispers words into her ear
    "I need you desperately."
    Giving her the sweetest gift
A gentle kiss on the lips
He runs his finger through her hair
    And out, a promise slips
"I will never let you down
I will be all you need
I promise you my very life
It's the farthest thing from greed."
With that, he takes her by the hand
And leads her to her place
Much time will pass before the act
    Of colliding with careful grace
