• Quiet and reserved,
    Like a used box
    I am quiet and reserved
I have a story to tell and if you look closely I'll tell it

    Like this used box
I've been around the block a few times
My corners might be a little burnt
I may be empty or full and
    I'll always occupy space

In this "used box" so to speak are
    Thoughts, wants , and needs
    Fantasies, realities, and visions
    Ideas, goals, and aspirations
Followed by the things I'll never say
Or the things I'll want to say but can't quite word

This "used box" is a metaphor for me
I do what I can to express myself
However, I find "Keep it simple stupid" works best
It isn't that I see myself as a cruddy, burnt, and molded box with paint on the side of it
It's more like I see similarities in this "used box" and myself
In the qualities that a cruddy, burnt, and molded box would possess

There is a beauty to this "used box" and
I think that would be the simplicity of the box
There to hold what you need or what you want
To occupy space or act as a filler
To store pictures, writings, and memories

Acts for its purpose and/or someone's needs
    Never aims to disappoint
    Always there
    Always trying to stay strong
For itself or the people around this "box"
