Writing a Poem

• Description: I literally wrote this in 5 minutes. Most of my poems are like this. I seriously just describe the process of writing a poem, and the fact that I tend not to have an emotional reason for doing so.

I felt like writing a poem,
But I had nothing to say
The document sat on my screen
So I wrote one anyway

I wasn't feeling angry,
Not romantic, nor afraid.
I wasn't being graded,
And most certainly not paid.

So why'd I write this poem?
What's the reason for the rhyme?
I hate seeing blank pages,
and I needed to kill time.
