• For You, I'd Cry-

If I disappeared for a while, could you come too?
I couldn't think to ask anyone but you
Time slithered off and stole away age
Because it was always suppose to be this way

I couldn't breathe the first time I looked at you
It tugged at my soul like a subtle pull
Beyond my sight was your reflective touch
I've never thought of a person so much

But when I asked, you denied
Age dragged back a furious time
My breathe slammed back in at a painful rate
Your touch turned back to its opal state

Watching you walk on, I played my part
Never ending what was suppose to start
If I said I loved you, it would sound like a false lie
      Because, even after all this
    For you, I'd cry.
